There is a new TV ad that I saw last evening for the first time. It extolles all the virtues of a super high Carbon Dioxide level in the earth's atmosphere. I had to look it up today. The Ad is only running in the states of New Mexico and Montana. It is the brainchild of the coal industry who is spending a million dollars on an Ad campaign, and a million dollars on lobbying efforts. The Ad tells us that high levels of CO2 is good for the Earth, and helps improve our ecosystem. Has pretty pictures of Elk and foliage. They try and debunk that old greenhouse gas global warming stuff, and don't even get me started on those crazy's who think that human behavior can effect climate change! Boy, and there are those people that think that chemicals in water cause illnesses, when in fact, as the chemical companies will soon advertise, they are like free water supplements, and asbestos, it is like giving your lungs a nice chemical scrub that cleans them out! Heck, and don't get me started on those spent radioactive fuel rods, they can be recycled to provide inexpensive home lighting! And don't try and argue with those people that believe that Jesus rode dinosaurs around Jerusalem like fred flinstone does in the cartoons, and if you stop believing in gravity, you will float off into space......

highschool biology says that there are only so many receptors on any type of cell wall. So yes, more carbon means trees will grow faster. But only to the point where saturation occurs.
Their argument is like saying pouring gasoline in the back seat of your car will make the car go faster. If the carborater can't take anymore it just doesn't work.
