DeBlog Just To ReBlog!

Well, after a year or so of silence, decided to start this blogging nonsense again. Wasn't sure if posting was bad luck or not, but it seemed like whatever i was posting in preparation for, didn't turn out all that well. hurt or ill. either way, not so good! so, i will try this again, include more subjects than just running, and see what happens!
Tomorrow i will run the "Beat the Cock 5k" in Las Cruces. The Cock in question, is the NMSU Triathlon club president and a cross country runner. Doubt i can beat him even dressed in a full chicken costume, but if i get close enough, maybe i will wrestle him to the ground so that others can! I have been running well for the past 4 weeks, with a weekly long run of 11 miles, 2 runs of 7 with various speedwork, and an easy 5. Trying to prepare for a fall half marathon, but the one i am aiming for is the Rio Grande marathon/half on October 25th. My problem is that there is no website yet or entry form at any sporting goods stores. i emailed the Mesilla Track club in Las Cruces, but no response yet. my other option is the Duke City marathon/half in Albuquerque a week earlier. We will see.
My lovely daughter-in-law Lyudibug is running the North Face Endurance Run 50 miler on September 19th. This is her first 50 and i pray she walks early and often so that she doesn't hit the wall at around 33 to 35 miles. keep her in your heart that day! (she is in the picture on top with my son and i)
In one other odd subject, found out today thru research the Glen Beck converted to Mormonism after giving up liquor. Think about that. First off, how may people that you know who were not raised mormon have converted to Mormonism. Now Scientology, that is a different subject. Elitist whaco's who are insecure and need to feel superior to others, they have a case for conversion to the space gods. Now, besides losing 36 sponsors for his racist rhetoric, his lunatic rants, teers, and constant contradictory statements that oppose what he said previously (if you get a chance, see what he said about the american health care system when he had his little surgery a few years ago!), he is just another fatalist awaiting the end of days. Kinda' like W in a lot of ways!! sure wish all these folks waiting for the rapture would get on a short bus and head on out themselves and leave the rest of us folks in peace......
