The last Boston Marathon that Billy completed prior to this year was the 100th Boston. I ran that race with my boy terrible terry. It was horrible for us, but not so for Boston Billy. This year, Bill ran a 4:06, a far cry from his 2:09-2:12 days in his prime. Of course, he is 61 and coming off of recent prostate cancer. I love this picture for a few reasons. 1st, he looks so damn happy. He is also greeting Uta Pippig, my 2nd favorite female marathoner after Joanie Samuelson. So, if he is now one hour and 56 minutes slower than his personal marathon best, and my best is a 3:10, does that mean that i should be trying to run/walk a 5:06 marathon??
