My neighbor Joe received two stents today for his coronary arteries. One was blocked 95%, the other 80%. He is doing fine and will be home tomorrow. I now have two stent friends, Two Stents Frank, and Two Stents Joe. I was surprised that Joe was not given a bypass procedure, but I guess that they have come a long way with stents and can now utilize stents in even nearly closed arteries. Glad Joe is in recovery, doing fine, and anxious to come home. He is a man in constant motion and activity, and will be contained for the next month or so. Know what it is like!! Three days now until the cast comes off and I find out how limited I will be! Life is like running....there are periods where all is well, you fire on all cylinders, you get special performances, and life is good. Then there are the problems and setbacks where you struggle thru and think, will I ever be able to have those great periods again? Who knows! The only choice that you ever get is to try real hard......
