Corporatocracy Runs Wild!

Two weeks down and another 4 weeks to go. My arm swelling is gone, and the color looks a lot like a nacho appetizer platter. Only pain I still have in the arm is when I sleep. It aches and throbs and keeps me awake. The leg doesn't feel too bad, except for dragging that 30lb cast around. I have been eating those calcium chews with abandon, and sucking on a protein shake each afternoon. Doing what I can to try and positively impact the fracture healing.
My frustration continues to grow with the lack of any real progress by our duly elected government to implement what the American people want and what was promised during campaigns. Corporatocracy continues to run wild. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corporatocracy) If we can't really reform health care, can't stop these two wars, can't really stop the financial service lobby from halting any financial system reforms, and, most importantly, can't slow global warmings climate change consequences, our future looks pretty bleak. The back room deals always seem to go in the interests of the corporation at our expense (reference Matt Taibbi's blog today....http://taibbi.rssoundingboard.com/). If we don't move to publicly funded elections and away from treating lobbyists as the electorate with premium rights, we have little chance for our word to be heard. As Bill Maher recently said, please President Obama, start representing the 70% of Americans that aren't crazy. And chase the lobbyists out of Washington with torches and pitchforks.....
