It now marks 3 weeks since man meets truck mirror. The arm feels better, and I am slightly more stable on the crutches. It is hair washing sponge bath day! I like those. Need to feel clean every few days. Deb went to walmart and bought a few nylon shorts that she altered with her sewing machine.
She cut down one side and inserted velcro panels so i can rip them off when i need to get them on and off. It's like in those bond movies where the guy pulls his coveralls off and has a nice suit underneath. I only have a nature boy suit underneath. Sure haven't used many cloths to add to the wash load this month. Only Deb has to see me, and she is pretty used to my general attire. Tony Z and I won our first football bet of the year with a Colts and over pick on monday night.
Hope we can hit one of our sunday 6 picks this year. We have hit that each of the last 2 years and that gives us each $400 to pay for the next years football picks. I left him with $315 dollars when we headed out of Mesquite in December of 2006, and I still have $335 today. So, lots of fun for minimal expense. Had 2 good weeks of Gridiron Challenge fantasy football. Beating the rest of the folks so far......usually start strong and fade, so lets hope I can hold on this year. That Otto fellow is always tough late, and we now have Frank who will get better each week. Anyway, closing in on halfway thru part one of this odyssey. Part 2 will hopefully begin the rehab process! Then some walking followed by starting running.....we shall see!
