Running provides a very good return on investment. So does strength training. Knee stretching is pretty poor. Prior to my meeting with the truck, I had been averaging 5 hours of running per week for the previous 10 weeks. That was generally on 4 or 5 days of running per week. The other 2 or 3 days generally involved some core exercises, perfect push ups, and light dumbbell work. Currently I am averaging between 8 and 9 hours a week trying to get my knee to bend more than 80 degrees or so. Not a very good return on my investment. Thank God I am old. My reading on this particular type of knee injury has a high correlation with arthritis in the knee years after the injury. My ratio of years remaining after injury is also pretty low. That one at least goes in my favor!!
My favorite college football team this week is Boston College. My favorite college football team each week is whoever is playing Notre Dame. Keeps it simple. Tuesday marks the end of 8 weeks of post crash bliss! Yippee!
