THE American Marathon!

Today I participated in THE American Marathon........that is, I walked to the mail box. I know what you're thinking.......most people actually drive to their mail boxes. Crutches are kind of like pontoons now. I don't need them to walk other that to keep my uncoordinated self from tipping over side to side, or front to back. My knee is not as sore today in general. Can't get it to bend any farther, but it hurts less to move it to and from that 80 degree stopping point. I called the doc's office today to schedule a follow up appointment prior to the one set for 12/1 for x-rays and final boot removal. The appointment is for Thursday 11/5. Just want to go over MCL stretching issues and weather I can get some PT early to help. I will type my issues out and give them to the doc to look at before we chat. maybe I will have terrible translate them into Russian just in case. My boy, being the sympathetic sole that he is, found a way to help me with my knee. http://www.shopoutfitters.com/
My bride is in Silver City today seeing a Pulmonary doc for follow up. Her lungs are bugging her, and I don't think her asthma medicine is keeping up with all that Chili Pepper roasting going on at Border Foods a mile away from here. When they get to those Jalapenos, things get pretty irritating. Anyway, she is stopping at the curious kumquat to get us some Giro meat for me to make us Giro sandwiches. Weather is beautiful, and as has happened since I have moved to Deming, I end up running my ass off in the hot and windy weather, and being injured during the nice weather. Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory........

Marine Corps marathon was here this weekend. Wouldn't been a great day to run. One of these days I'll be a runner again :-) Maybe for your 60th...
