Lance Weakboy!!


A Lance Wannabe I am not. Got on the Exercycle today (the one in the picture is the one i use at the gym) and warmed up with 30 minutes at a resistance setting of 3. Then i set the machine for an interval workout of 20 minutes where i alternate one minute at resistance level 3 with one minute at resistance level 6. That was hard on both the heart and knee!! Sure wish i was running instead. Then did the usual group of weight machines and free weights for about an hour. Was able to adjust the sled for my leg presses and holds to a deeper bend, so that is good news for ROM. Also was able to finally do a more acceptable weight for the knee lifts, and have no more pain under the kneecap. still have some soreness inside the knee, and that damn overall stiffness of the knee which slowly disappears as i cycle. That was it for another day. Then had to go out into the cold. Rained and snowed a bit overnight, but was all gone when i left for the gym today.
yesterday i did my first balance board work for about an hour while watching TV. i set the board to the "stroke victim" setting and practiced side to side and front to back balancing. sure made my ankles sore when i was done. Sure have a very large amount of work to do to retrain my damaged brain and nerves to get my feet working better. we shall see! No one will accuse me of being Tony Hawk either.......
