Super Slow Weight Training!

After reading a book from the library, and some scientific sites on the googleyweb, I have learned about super slow weight training. You take 10 to 15 seconds up or out, and the same back. You never lock out, so that there is pressure on the muscle for the entire time, and you want to be at it for at least 3 minutes, and you go to full failure. This is supposed to activate all 4 muscle tissue types from slow to fast twitch, and is supposed to be an awesome hormone releaser for many hours after. This is especially good for us old farts. I tried it today. It will take me a while to figure out weight levels to use, as you have to go lighter, but not too much. Today was more experimental. So now I am a match.....turtle boy runner and turtle boy weight trainer!!
Got in 22 miles on the treadmill this week over 5 days, and the last 2 days, my heart rate dropped about 5 BPM at the same turtle pace. It's a start.

I assume full failure doesn't mean the fellow at the gym has to clean around before locking up for the night?
