Vampire Season!

The ten day forecast calls for temps on either side of 100 degrees and bright sunny cloudless days. So Vampire season is officially here. June has proven bye far to be our hottest month during the 7 years we have been here. You usually don't see any folks outside until around sundown. Then they come out like squinting vampires and water their plants, ride their bicycles, or take a walk. All the dogs get their chance at exercise as well. I usually go out to run around 7 o'clock and finish up as the sun is disappearing. It is not that much cooler, but since it is also generally cloudless, you get some relief from not being beaten down bye the hot sun. July usually begins lower temperatures and is the month where we get virtually all of our precipitation for the year. Course, that amounts to around 4 inches total or so.....
Will go for a run again tonight, and that will probably bring my weekly total to around 42K. Had two 45 minute runs during Deb's PT and they were awful near the end. Just blistering hot sun on pavement with no shade. So another 5 run week. Deb sees the doc on tuesday, and will decide with him about any other PT. She still has some basic Fibro pains, but her range of motion and core stabilization are much improved. If she goes for six more or so, wants to focus on her upper back and neck.
Knee is about 70% better, and since it is so freakin' hot, No rush now to attempt to do anything too fancy. Since three months seems to be about the max period I can ramp up the intensity, the only intensity I will add is tempo paced cruise intervals once or twice a week.
Well, my boy got his good news this week......his future bride Inna will be able to come here and wed him. She is due in early July, and he plans a beach wedding at home in Geneva. It startles me to realize that in about 6 months or so, he will be the age I was when I met him all those years ago. If the circle remains unbroken, this marriage, at about the same age as my beginning with Deb 23 years ago, will be as happy and life fulfilling....

If I'm going to follow in your footsteps...Can I skip the entire truck and horse trailer thing? I'm decidedly against being run down on a peaceful scenic run.

You will get run down on a nice shaded city side street when someone is texting, eating, putting on makeup, and masturbating while driving!
